Bio

Chad (Matt)hew MacKenzie is currently an Engineering Manager at Adobe Systems in Ottawa, Canada where he leads/manages the development of LiveCycle Process Management ES, which is Adobe’s business process management offering. In addition to working at Adobe, Matt also serves as CTO at Mix2r.fm, and Blackline Technologies in his spare time, both are interesting startups in diverse fields. Matt also serves on Nitobi‘s advisory board focusing on process improvement and engineering management issues, and has also done some shorter term consulting stints recently, including Consulting CTO at Movieset.com and due diligence work for investment firms and high net worth individuals.

Prior to joining Adobe, Matt held positions at Yellow Dragon Software (CEO), XML Global Technologies (VP R&D) and Sigmalogic Associates (Principal). During his time at XML Global, Matt was responsible for co-founding the company and developing a prototype XML search engine (in 1999) that helped the company to raise in excess of $15 Million dollars and eventually get acquired by Xenos. Following the stint at XML Global, Matt worked with some former XML Global colleagues to develop a small consultancy (Sigmalogic) that focused on consulting projects in the security and intelligence space. Growing tired of the consulting lifestyle, Matt co-founded Yellow Dragon Software with long time friend and colleague Duane Nickull which specialized in metadata management and secure messaging technologies. Yellow Dragon became a profitable company in only a couple of months, and was acquired by Adobe Systems before its first birthday.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys photography and travel immensely.
